The Ender-3 S1 was procured by a member faction interested in increasing project flux within the Digital Fabrication Lab at Bloominglabs.

By upgrading our equipment (as measured according to the metric of Low Cognitive and Maintenance Overhead to Use, rather than performance simpliciter), it is hoped that more investment of attention and resources will be drawn to this sector of the space.

Printer Features

220x220x270 mm build volume

Single nozzle extruder, 0.4 mm diameter, max temp 260 C

Heated build platform, max temp 110 C, with removable magnetic surface sheet

Filament sensor.

Mechanical bed depth sensor: used by the printer to construct a map of variations in the build platform.

Usage Information

Please note any changes in printer functionality or settings (z-offset, manual re-levelling, firmware modification, cleaning, repairs, mechanical/electrical/software failures, etc.) in the Log below.

Please route all filament through the filament sensor, to avoid partial prints.

Known good filament: 1.75 mm diameter PLA, ABS, TPU, PETG
