This is a list of skills and gear that people can make available to the hacker space and it's members once it's established.

Nathan

Skills and services for offer:

• The FOOLS would be happy to install/upgrade additional locks and physical security for the hacker space
• Time and effort in establishing and maintaining the business entity
• General electronics experience, soldering, Arduino projects, TTL digital electronics, AIX/Linux sysadmin experience, website CMS setup and maintenance, lock picking/physical security, audio/video editing and equipment, welding, automotive systems, OBDII, licensed ham, X10 home automation, yada yada yada.

Gear for donation:

• 8' x 4' white board, with rigging ready to hang from a ceiling or wall
• HP LaserJet IV? B&W laser printer
• several 15" to 17" displays from around my house, probably some computers too
• RS/6000 7012/320 (Power CPU, AIX 4.1) with 19" display
• general spare parts (electronics, tools, etc)

Gear for indefinite loan:

• 9" Delta band saw
• bench grinder
• Makita cordless drill
• Geeks Unleashed arcade cabinet (A former MKII cabinet running Mame)
• robotic tape library, 5U rack-mount, needs 8mm tape drives and tapes (SCSI attached, robot works great under Fedora 3)
• possibly a 36U rack
• AS/400 9401-150 - a fully functional AS/400 for those that want to learn OS/400 (AKA iSeries, i5/OS, or "IBM i" as of April 2009)

• systems administration.. Be it for the online presence or anything on-site (servers, networking, etc). Linux stuff..
• Amateur radio operator & contester
• general woodworking skills
• electronics, solar electricity / renewable energy
• Happy to help teach people all of the above

Gear for donation:

• Lots of CAT5e for wiring the place
• I have a 2wire AT&T DSL modem + wifi if the place goes with DSL. saves a few bucks in the installation.
• probably have a spare linksys sitting in the garage as well
• might have enough parts to build up a working PC, if not then those parts can all go into the pile for projects
• old computing parts, might be good for general learning (like a Pentium laptop that would run DOS/Win98/OS2), old PDAs.. Lots of spare cables
• some rail shelving with wood shelves

Gear for indefinite loan:

• working 2 player MAME cabinet :) That's 2 of them in the list, maybe we should be opening an arcade instead?
• Antenna and VHF ham radio (might want to think on this some more, how to assure that non-licensed people aren't tempted to use it)
• I might be willing to loan some various bench tools

• general electronics PIC microcontroller programming skills
• Linux audio

Gear for indefinite loan:

• A couple computers for use as web servers or other if I can be sure that I can continue running one as a web server

• Lots of electronics parts:
  • resistors, capacitors, ICS
  • breadboards
  • prototype boards
  • PIC microcontrolelrs
  • LEDs

• Help with fundraising and drumming up interest.
• Business planning and organizational skills
• Internet related services.

Gear for Donation

• Lots of various cables, parts and stuff that probably other people will bring too.
• I can probably arrange to have free bagels at an event or two.

Gear for indefinite loan

• Polycom VoIP phone.
• A nice framed holographic picture of a C-64 motherboard.
• Circuit electronics books and other tech related books.
• N-scale train set (Could be used for some fun electronics projects)
• A stuffed penguin.
